LEE CELEBRATES CABOOLTURES URBAN CMF 5TH BIRTHDAY

The festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary by bringing back Australia’s biggest names in country music, who have performed to massive crowds at previous Urban Country Music festivals. It will feature more than 500 country music artists across 11 stages.Country music legend Lee Kernaghan will headline the Main Concert at Caboolture Showgrounds on Saturday, 3 May 2008, alongside Troy Cassar-Daley and Beccy Cole. On the same stage will be The McClymonts, Travis Collins and Kirsty Lee Akers.

There will also be four days of events including concerts, bush poets, the Beaut Ute Show, line dancing, songwriters café, line dancing, markets, rides and more. Held in various venues around Caboolture 15 of the 18 events on offer are free.

The festival offers four free concerts over the weekend starting with the opening Burbs n’ Bush Party on Friday night. Others include two new festival events, the Urban Warriors concert on Saturday night and the Next Generation Country stage that will feature the cream of up and coming artists for two days.  The ever popular Urban Blaze concert will be back again on Sunday evening.

Early bird tickets to the festival’s Main Concert will be available throughout the month of December only at the special price of $54.90.These can be purchased exclusively from the festival’s dedicated website from 1 December and at Caboolture Shire Council’s administration centre on Hasking Street from 3 December.

Standard tickets will be available from 1 January through the event’s website, at Council’s administration centre and Ticketek (13 28 49 and www.ticketek.com).
